Thousands of Kenyans Rally in Embu to Support Mama Gift

Just days after the Kaluma Boy story captured national attention, Kenyans have once again united in a powerful show of compassion—this time for Mama Gift, a single mother from Gathoge, Embu County.

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, a massive crowd gathered at Njukiri Showground to support Mama Gift, whose son, Baby Gift, suffers from cerebral palsy, chronic asthma, and heart complications. Her unwavering devotion and strength have moved many across the country.

By midday, the grounds were packed with young people, content creators, and families waving flags, singing, and carrying banners with words of encouragement. What began as a simple online campaign quickly evolved into a national movement of kindness.

Convoys of cars and motorbikes lined the Embu–Njukiri road as attendees brought food, household goods, and medical supplies. Others donated funds toward Baby Gift’s treatment, while entertainers and influencers livestreamed the event to amplify the message of hope.

“This is not about politics—it’s about love and humanity,” said one participant.

Organizers described the event as a reflection of a new kind of youth-led activism driven by empathy and community spirit.

“As young people, we’re showing that kindness is our power,” said a content creator who helped coordinate the drive.

As night fell, chants of “We love you, Mama Gift” filled the air while volunteers loaded donations onto trucks bound for her home—a heartwarming close to a day that celebrated unity, compassion, and the power of collective action.
