However, during a press conference in 2024, he offered a rare glimpse into his family structure, revealing that he has four wives and 17 children in total, with his children spanning various stages of life — some already university graduates, others still in lower levels of schooling.
The Women Behind Khalwale’s Large Family
Khalwale’s first wife was the late Adelaide Khalwale, with whom he had three children. Adelaide passed away in 2019, a painful loss for the family.
His second wife, Josephine Khalwale, is the mother of three of his children. One has already completed university, while the other two are still pursuing their education.
His third wife, Gloria Khalwale, was the mother of eight of his children. Khalwale announced Gloria’s death on August 15, 2026, after she reportedly collapsed and died following a heart attack. Among her eight children, some are currently in university while others remain in school, and Khalwale has often spoken proudly of their educational progress.
The senator’s fourth wife, Diana Khalwale, is the mother of three children, all of whom are still in lower levels of education.
