Kenya Power Announces Electricity Interruption in Turkana

Kenya Power has informed the public that certain areas in Turkana County will experience electricity interruption on Monday.

The company stated on Sunday, stating that the interruption is scheduled as part of network maintenance. The affected areas include Kalemngorok Town, Kalemngorok Dispensary, Katilu Centre, Kaptir Centre, Kakongu Trading Centre, Kaputir Market, Safaricom Kokito Hills, Cemtech, Centre Kanza, Tapoyo Primary, Cheptuyus Primary, Tullow, Lokichar Health Centre, Sarmarch, and adjacent customers. The interruption is expected to last from 7 am to 4 pm.

In addition, several parts of the country experienced power interruptions on Sunday morning. Kenya Power, responsible for the majority of the electricity transmission and distribution system, assured the public that efforts were underway to restore supply.

Affected areas included Kenyatta University Ruiru campus, Twiga Estate, Murera Estate, Mugutha, Kariuki, GSU camp Ruiru, Kimbo, Matangi, Murera, Toll shopping centre, and surrounding locations. The supply line serving Ndumbuini, Kanyariri, Kabete Vetlab, Uthiru, Kinoo, Kwa Mugo Njathaini, Uthiru 87, Gakobu, and environs was also impacted. Additionally, power outages were reported in Kwihota, Kihunguro, Murera, Ruiru, Gatongora, Kilimambogo, Kamakis, Mitikeda Ruiru, Karuguru near Eden Academy, Fedha Estate, Telaviv, Tassia, and surrounding areas.
