Sidian Bank’s net profit increased by 28.9 percent to Sh1.21 billion in the six months ending June 30, 2026, driven by stronger returns from lending, mortgages and investments in government securities.
The lender’s net interest income more than doubled, rising 123.1 percent to Sh3.64 billion during the period, compared with the previous reporting period.

However, non-interest income fell by 44 percent to Sh1.01 billion.
Sidian Bank’s loans and advances expanded by 23.1 percent to Sh33.14 billion, while customer deposits grew by 22.5 percent to Sh73.45 billion.
The bank also reported an improvement in the quality of its loan book, with net non-performing loans dropping by 24.7 percent to Sh3.07 billion.

The latest performance builds on a strong 2025 financial year, when Sidian Bank’s profit after tax surged to Sh1.73 billion, up from Sh287.35 million recorded in 2024.
During the year ended December 2025, net interest income rose by 54.6 percent to Sh4.43 billion, while non-interest income more than doubled to Sh3.8 billion.
