The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has revealed that a police officer and a local DJ are among the four additional suspects to be charged in connection with the murder of Meru blogger Daniel Muthiani, known as Sniper.
The statement from the investigative agency indicated that forensic evidence links the suspects to the abduction and subsequent killing of Sniper, whose body was found in Mutonga River.
The three newly identified suspects, Boniface Kithinji Njihia (DJ Kaboom), Brian Mwenda (Brayo), and Christus Manyara Kiambi, will face charges on Monday, January 29, after being granted custodial orders by Kibera Law Courts.
Two other suspects, Vincent Muriithi and Kenneth Murangiri Guantai, will undergo mental evaluation before their plea-taking at Kiambu Law Courts on the same day. Vincent Muriithi, also known as Supuu, is implicated in luring the victim to his demise, according to the DCI statement.

The investigations, which began on December 19, have involved thorough scrutiny of forensic evidence and data analysis, with the agency assuring the public that more arrests will follow as the inquiry progresses.
Meanwhile, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has challenged detectives to present evidence linking her family to the murder. She expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation, claiming that her family’s reputation has been damaged.
Mwangaza asserted that the investigators took CCTV accessories, cameras, and mobile phones from her family members and workers during the crime scene declaration, demanding justice and transparency in the findings.
