A helicopter has crashed in Kirish, near Mt Ololokwe in Samburu County, with details of the incident still emerging as of Wednesday morning, August 19.
Videos reviewed by The Lower Eastern Times show a witness describing the aircraft as having gone down in a deep and hard-to-reach section of the mountain.

In one clip, the witness can be heard urgently appealing for help, stressing how difficult the location was to access, and pleading for rescue teams to be dispatched quickly to reach those affected.
According to several local reports, the helicopter was based at Loisaba and had been picking up clients from Suiyan, reportedly booked through End Beyond Safaris. The identities and condition of those on board had not been immediately established.
Authorities were expected to investigate the circumstances of the crash and determine whether there were any casualties or survivors.
