Ruto Departs U.S. After Productive Diplomatic Mission

Ruto heads back to Kenya following a four-day official visit to the United States.

Departing from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Friday evening, he expressed gratitude to President Joe Biden, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and the American people, affirming their joint commitment to global betterment.

Before leaving, Ruto met with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon in Virginia.

His delegation included Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, security advisor Monica Juma, and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.

Stressing the importance of collective efforts in safeguarding Kenya and the broader region from security threats, Ruto emphasized collaboration with allies like the U.S.

During his visit, Ruto engaged in bilateral discussions with President Biden at the White House on May 23, followed by an elaborate State dinner held in his honor.
