Man City Clinch 4th EPL Title In A Row As Arsenal ‘Next Season’ Continue

Foden brace secured Pep Guardiola’s squad  a 3-1 victory over West Ham on the final day, extending their unbeaten home streak to 44 matches across all competitions.

This triumph ensured they ended the season two points ahead of Arsenal, who won 2-1 against Everton on the same day. City’s latest achievement is historic, becoming the first English top-flight team to win four consecutive league titles.

“It’s so hard to put into words what we’ve done today,” Foden remarked after the game. “We’ve made history. No team has ever done this before. You can see what it means to the fans and to us. Working all year for this moment, it’s such a special feeling to share it with the fans. Now we can say we are the first team to do it. I’m lost for words.”

Foden quickly opened the scoring, beating goalkeeper Alphonse Areola just two minutes into the match. He added another goal before halftime, and Rodrigo sealed the victory with City’s third goal, marking Foden’s sixth Premier League title with his boyhood club.

“I’ll never get bored of it,” Foden said. “I want this feeling every time. Winning is the best feeling, and I just want to keep winning as much as I can.”

City were challenged by Arteta’s side, with the Premier League title race extending to the final day for the 10th time.

Of Guardiola’s six league titles with City, this was the third time they clinched the title on the final day, having narrowly beaten Liverpool in the 2018-19 and 2021-22 seasons. This puts City in the books of Premier League history as the first to bag 4 back to back EPL titles.
