This accolade follows KPC’s notable productivity improvement, rising from 3.09 to 4.37 — a level deemed high by the National Productivity and Competitiveness Centre under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection — reinforcing KPC’s role as a leader in efficiency and competitiveness.

The Company of the Year Awards (COYA), organised annually by the Kenya Institute of Management, celebrate organisations that excel in leadership, innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth.

For KPC, the recognition affirms its transformation journey and commitment to responsible leadership and sustainable development.

The milestone coincides with KPC’s expansion into new revenue streams, notably its fiber optic business, which leverages pipeline infrastructure to enhance digital connectivity. This diversification aligns with the company’s sustainability goals, optimising assets, reducing environmental impact, and contributing to Kenya’s digital transformation agenda.

Officiated by Tourism and Wildlife CS Rebecca Miano, the collaboration aims to strengthen hospitality sector capacity by equipping learners with industry-relevant skills and fostering innovation.

Commenting on the award, KPC Managing Director Joe Sang, EBS, said, “This is awesome news. Let’s keep shining in all corners.”

KPC’s COYA 2025 win marks a milestone and a motivator, highlighting its commitment to turning operational excellence into sustainable impact while enhancing its contribution to Kenya’s economic and social development. Tata Chemicals claimed second place, reflecting the competitive standards of the awards.
