Mwingi: Police Officer Passes Away While Visiting Fiancé

A policewoman who tragically lost her life while visiting her fiancé in Kitui County has reportedly succumbed to natural causes, the specifics of which are currently under investigation, according to Ezekiel Kiche, the Tseikuru subcounty police commander.

Kiche mentioned on Sunday that further details regarding the nature of the policewoman’s ailment will be revealed following a postmortem examination.

The deceased, identified as a constable and drill instructor, had visited her fiancé at Kaningo village in Tseikuru when the incident occurred, as stated in a police report filed at Tseikuru.

According to the report, upon her arrival at her fiancé’s residence on January 27, she began experiencing severe headaches and vomiting, as reported by her partner.

Following this, she was admitted to Mumoni Nursing Home in Tseikuru township the next day, where she received treatment and was subsequently discharged. However, her illness resurfaced on February 1, leading to another hospitalization and subsequent discharge.

Tragically, her condition deteriorated the following day, resulting in her demise while undergoing treatment at the nursing home.

As investigations continue, the body has been transferred to Kyuso Level IV hospital under the jurisdiction of the area directorate of criminal investigation.
