World’s Angriest Nations in 2024 — See Who Leads

Chad and Jordan top the global rankings for anger, with 47% and 46% of adults respectively saying they felt angry. Armenia follows closely, reporting a rate of 43%.

The list shows a clear regional pattern, with most of the countries coming from Africa and the Middle East.

From Africa, Chad is joined by Sierra Leone and Guinea, each at 40%, as well as the Democratic Republic of the Congo at 38%.

The Middle East features prominently, including Jordan, Iraq (40%), Palestine (38%), Iran (37%), and the disputed Northern Cyprus region at 42%. Armenia and Morocco, both recording 37%, round out the top ten.

The analysis attributes these elevated anger levels largely to ongoing or recent conflicts, political instability, and fragile economic conditions affecting many of the countries on the list.
