According to police, the landlord was alerted after residents noticed that the house had remained locked from the inside since Saturday, although a window was slightly open.
Officers who arrived at the scene broke window grills to access the single-room house and found Kinoti lying on her bed under a mosquito net.
Her body was partially undressed but showed no visible injuries, according to preliminary police findings.
Investigators said she was last seen on Friday, June 19, at around 7 p.m. when she was preparing supper outside her house. She was not seen thereafter, and the house remained locked throughout Saturday, raising concern among neighbours.
Police recovered her mobile phone inside the house, which was still switched on. All other belongings were intact, ruling out any immediate signs of robbery.
The body was moved to Marimanti Level Four Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
In a separate case in Mombasa County, police are also investigating the death of a 40-year-old man whose body was found in a locked house several days after he went missing.

The deceased, identified as Louis Mtawanye, was discovered in the Shelemba area of Bombolulu, Nyali Sub-County, after relatives and his employer were unable to reach him for several days.
The matter was reported on Saturday after his employer became concerned when attempts to contact him since June 15 went unanswered.
At around 4 p.m., the employer visited the residence and noticed a strong foul smell coming from the house, prompting him to alert police.
Officers forced entry into the locked house and found the decomposing body lying on a mattress on the floor.
Police said the man, who lived alone, had no visible injuries, and preliminary estimates suggest he may have died three to four days before discovery.
The body was taken to Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary pending post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
