The Kenya Film Classification Board has instructed Embarambamba, the controversial gospel singer, to remove all of his music videos from his YouTube channel and other social media platforms within two days.
Failure to comply will result in legal action. Additionally, he must submit his videos to the board for examination and obtain a filming license before creating new content.
Embarambamba has been questioned for violating content regulations, including the use of vulgar, indecent, and violent themes, such as in his song ‘Niko Uchi.’ He has agreed to follow the board’s directives.
The board emphasized the importance of creating content that upholds Kenyan culture and moral values and protects children from inappropriate material.
Last week, Embarambamba and another artist were ordered to remove their songs from all media platforms for breaching the Films and Stage Plays Act, as their content posed a threat to public safety and contained nudity and vulgarity.
