The High Court has rejected a legal challenge against the Affordable Housing Bill 2023.
The case, brought by activist Lawrence Opiuo, argued that the bill was rushed through without proper public input.
However, the court ruled that the necessary consultations had taken place and declined to intervene in the legislative process.
Justice Mwanaisha Shariff affirmed that the National Assembly had fulfilled its obligations regarding public participation.
