Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has appealed to Kenyans to exercise patience as the government works towards addressing the economic difficulties confronting the nation.
Speaking in Nakuru on New Year’s Eve, the DP acknowledged the tough conditions experienced by Kenyans in the past year but assured them that the coming year would bring positive changes for many.
“I want to assure you that the challenges we faced this year were relatively minor. As we look forward to 2024, we see a brighter future ahead,” he expressed.
Simultaneously, Gachagua defended the affordable housing program, which has faced legal challenges.
“The affordable housing project has created job opportunities for our youth, with 650 units providing employment for our local artisans here in Bondeni. They have constructed these houses, installed windows, doors, and we are eager for the project to continue in order to generate employment for the youth,” emphasized the Deputy President.
