Don’t Marry a Woman Who’s Never Paid her Rent – Zulu

Life coach Benjamin Zulu has advised men to be cautious about marrying women who have never managed their own rent or bills, warning that such partners may struggle to understand the pressures of adult life.

In an Instagram video on Saturday, February 7, 2026, Zulu explained that women who have always relied on parental support may not fully grasp the challenges of managing finances and household responsibilities, which can lead to tension in a relationship.

“I don’t encourage men to marry girls straight from their mother’s house. She won’t understand rent. Choose a woman who has paid rent, someone who knows how to handle pressure and responsibilities,” he said.

Financial independence matters

Zulu emphasized that a woman who has handled her own rent or bills is more likely to contribute meaningfully to a partnership. He noted that such women understand life’s pressures and can manage financial and logistical challenges without adding unnecessary stress.

He added that this independence fosters a more balanced relationship, where both partners share responsibilities and appreciate each other’s efforts.

“Even when you’ve done everything right, payments can be delayed. A woman who has experienced that won’t stress you over small things like outings or parties. She knows that logistics sometimes fail, even when love is there,” he said.

Zulu also stressed that personal accountability and experience in handling one’s own affairs are key indicators of readiness for marriage.

He urged men to consider practical skills and independence in potential partners, not just emotional or social qualities. A partner who has faced real-life challenges and managed them effectively is better prepared for the demands of married life, including unexpected obstacles and responsibilities.

Finally, Zulu reminded men that financial independence reflects maturity, decision-making, and resilience. By choosing partners who have proven they can manage their own lives, men are more likely to build strong, balanced, and lasting marriages.
