84 individuals lost their lives in road accidents during the first week of January in the year 2024.
According to the statistics from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the death toll this year is higher compared to the 72 deaths recorded in the first week of January 2023.

Among the casualties this year, pedestrians accounted for the highest number with 31 deaths, followed by motorcycle riders with 23, while seven car drivers also lost their lives.
