Omar Omari, Kenya Aquatics Technical Committee official, anticipates a thrilling two-day meet. “This will be one of the biggest events in terms of participation and reflects the sport’s steady growth in Kenya,” he said.
He noted that many teams held training camps over the April holidays and are well-prepared. “This is where the country’s future swimming champions are molded,” Omari added.
The event will feature all four main strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly—across multiple distances and relay events. Strict qualifying times promise high-level competition and an opportunity for national team scouts to identify emerging talent.
