Bongo superstar Diamond Platnumz caused a stir by retracting his earlier statement declaring himself single. On January 18th, the ‘Enjoy’ hitmaker surprised fans on Instagram by announcing his single status and expressing a desire not to be romantically linked with any woman.
This announcement came just two months after he celebrated his on-and-off girlfriend Zuchu’s birthday in South Africa.
The news sent shockwaves through the Bongo entertainment scene, leaving many puzzled about Diamond’s recent activities with Zuchu and speculating whether it was a publicity stunt for a new project.
Shortly after the single declaration, Diamond returned online to clarify the situation, revealing that he was still in a relationship and rescinding his previous announcement. He humorously told those celebrating the news to calm down, stating, “People just don’t break up that easily!”
Diamond emphasized that the issue of being single was a failed attempt, and he continued to enjoy life in his unique island and spice district. He also advised people to be patient and not jump to conclusions too quickly.
While Zuchu is signed to Diamond’s label, Wasafi Records, and is widely assumed to be his girlfriend, both artists have consistently downplayed their relationship. Diamond’s mother and Zuchu’s mother have also denied any romantic involvement, insisting that their children are only in a professional working relationship. As of January 12, Mama Dangote maintained that Diamond had not brought Zuchu home to announce any marriage intentions, considering him single until such an announcement is made.
