Nominated Senator Tabitha Mutinda has been elected to the Board of Governance of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), representing the East African region.
The announcement was made on Wednesday afternoon by Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, who congratulated the Senator on her appointment. Her term will officially begin on October 13, 2025, during the Parliamentary engagements at the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and IMF.

As a board member, Senator Mutinda will play a key role in shaping the network’s strategic direction and providing oversight for its global parliamentary activities.

Established in 2000, the Parliamentary Network brings together legislators from over 140 countries to collaborate with the World Bank Group and IMF on issues such as transparency, accountability, and macroeconomic policy.
Headquartered in Paris, the network works to enhance accountability and transparency in international financial institutions and promote effective multilateral development financing.
