President William Ruto is set to formally inaugurate Bunge Towers today, following a delay from last week due to the unfortunate passing of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla.

The grand opening, originally scheduled for April 19, was postponed to Thursday morning.

The Bunge Towers, costing Ksh.9.6 billion, stand tall at 28 stories and boast a range of lavish amenities tailored for Kenyan legislators, including a gym, beauty parlor, and restaurant. Within its premises, committee rooms will facilitate legislative proceedings.

Connecting the tower to the parliament buildings is an underground tunnel, designed to ensure the security and convenience of MPs.
The occupancy of the tower will occur in two phases: firstly, members will transition from KICC to the Tower or alternative accommodations, followed by MPs from Continental House in the second phase.
