A shocking event unfolded in Kapsilibwa village, Sagamian, Narok County, on Friday, as two siblings tragically ended their lives through hanging, seemingly in a joint suicide pact.
Law enforcement authorities revealed that Vincent Kipkorir Koech, aged 19, and Gilbert Kibet Koech, aged 17, made a pact to take their lives after their father, David Towett, granted a portion of land to his former wife, who had recently returned to their family home following a divorce years prior.
According to police reports documenting the incident, the two brothers vehemently opposed this decision, even issuing threats to harm their stepfamily and their father. Additionally, the deceased brothers had a history of criminal behavior, including theft from two local churches, among other offenses.
Following the discovery of the bodies, police swiftly processed the crime scene near the Amalo River, while the remains of the brothers were transported to Longisa County Referral Hospital Mortuary for further examination in preparation for a postmortem analysis.
