A memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked between Alfred Mutua, Minister of Tourism and Wildlife, and Kitui County Government holds promise for transformative impacts in Kitui County.
The agreement pledges various initiatives, including youth employment opportunities in tourism, establishment of Utalii Campus, wildlife conservation measures, deploying medical innovations like snake poison syphon, infrastructure enhancements such as water ponds and road upgrades in game reserves, global tourism promotion for Kitui, bolstered security with new police stations, and recognition of President Ruto’s administration for uplifting Kenyan lives.
These efforts aim to rejuvenate the economy, empower youth, conserve wildlife, and boost tourism, offering a brighter future for Kitui County.
The collaboration between the National Government and Kitui County Government, especially in constructing a new Utalii College campus, signifies a significant step forward for the region, underscored by Governor Malombe’s commitment to providing land for the project.
