It seeks to bring together key stakeholders to discuss the difficulties cancer patients face and identify possible policy and legislative measures to strengthen cancer care and treatment in Kenya.
In October 2025, KENCO submitted a petition to Parliament urging reforms in cancer care funding and access under the new Social Health Authority (SHA).
The petition advocates for the restoration of oncology benefits — reduced from Sh600,000 per person to Sh400,000 per household — and calls for an independent audit of SHA funds to ensure sufficient allocation to the Primary Healthcare Fund and the Emergency, Chronic and Critical Illness Fund.
