In Mtomo, Kitui County, a 51-year-old man named Robert Kimanzi was found dead in Muvinge village.
His body was discovered on the Katse-Irira road, showing multiple head injuries and accompanied by a blood-stained panga.
Authorities suspect that Kimanzi, who had a history of epilepsy and known behavioral issues, may have been assaulted and left to die.
The body has been taken to Kyuso Subcounty Hospital for an autopsy, and police are currently searching for those responsible for the attack.
