They also featured in the Safaricom Chapa Dimba All-Stars squad that attended a training bootcamp in Huesca, Spain, in September last year and represented the Central Region during Season Four of the tournament’s national finals in Kisumu.
“I’m thrilled to join Kayole Starlets. Playing in the Kenya Premier League has always been my dream after competing in the NSL. Joining mid-season gives me a chance to contribute to the team’s success,” said Naomi Nanjala. “Safaricom Chapa Dimba has been instrumental in my football journey, and I wouldn’t be here without it.”
The three join Eunice ‘Bobi’ Nabwoba and Praxedes Shivikhwa, who previously played for Wiyeta Girls in Season Four, representing the Rift Valley Region. Nabwoba also featured for Amus College in Uganda before signing with Kayole Starlets.
Sonia Wambui added: “Chapa Dimba is more than just a tournament—it’s a platform that nurtures young talent. I thank Kayole Starlets for believing in me, and I’m committed to giving my best to compete at the Premier League and beyond.”
Safaricom Chapa Dimba continues to impact youth football across Kenya, with over 30 players from the most recent season joining clubs in both the National Super League and Kenya Premier League. Notable alumni include Emily Morang’a (Kenya Police), Duncan Omala (Nairobi United), Bryton Otieno (Gor Mahia), and Judith Osimbo (Ulinzi Starlets), among others.

Speaking during a training session at Calvary Sports Grounds, Kayole Starlets coach Joshua Sakwa praised grassroots tournaments like Safaricom Chapa Dimba for developing young talent.
“Tournaments like Chapa Dimba are vital for spotting, nurturing, and showcasing grassroots players. We currently have five former Chapa Dimba players in our squad, and we believe they will help us push for a top finish this season,” Sakwa said.
Kayole Starlets are currently seventh in the league, aiming to finish among the top three.
Safaricom Chapa Dimba targets youth aged 16–20, providing a platform to showcase talent, create professional pathways, and transform lives through football.
