Former Kimilili MP Suleiman Murunga has passed away. His death was confirmed by the current MP, Didmus Barasa, who expressed his condolences.
“With a heavy heart, I offer my sincere condolences to the people of Kimilili Constituency on the loss of our former MP, Hon. Suleiman Kasuti Murunga. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.
Murunga represented Kimilili from 2013 to 2017 and was a member of Ford Kenya, led by current National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula.
He succeeded Eseli Simiyu, who served from 2007 to 2013 after defeating Mukhisa Kituyi.
Murunga will be remembered for his contributions to the Kimilili community, his leadership as a parliamentarian, and his commitment to the welfare of his constituents. His initiatives and dedication to public service will be cherished by those he served.
