I&M Bank has announced plans to open nine additional branches across Kenya in 2026 as part of its “Mahali Uko, Tuko” expansion campaign, focusing on fast-growing areas driven by agribusiness, real estate and MSMEs.

The new branches will be set up in Ngong Town, Kitengela, Nyahururu, Kitui, Homa Bay, Migori, Wote, Our Mall–Magadi Road and Utawala—locations identified for their rising populations and vibrant economic activity.

According to the bank, the expansion is intended to enhance financial inclusion by making banking services more accessible to communities that are currently underserved.

Regional CEO Kihara Maina said the outlets will function as community-centered hubs, providing business and agricultural financing, digital banking assistance, and financial literacy training, while integrating in-branch services with digital platforms.

With the addition of the nine new outlets, I&M Bank will edge closer to its goal of reaching 80 branches by the end of 2026 and ultimately establishing a presence in all 47 counties.
