A passenger has died aboard a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to Lagos, Nigeria, after a medical emergency shortly before the aircraft landed.
In a statement on Wednesday, the airline said the incident happened on Tuesday, October 6. The passenger was found unresponsive at about 9.20pm Nigerian time, roughly 20 minutes before the scheduled landing in Lagos.

Cabin crew gave first aid and followed emergency procedures as the flight continued to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, where it touched down at 9.41pm and was met by medical personnel. After examining the passenger, the medics confirmed that they had died, the airline said.
Kenya Airways did not reveal the identity of the passenger or the suspected cause of death. It said it was working with the family, local authorities and aviation regulators following the incident, and extended its condolences to the deceased’s family and friends.
