Betty Bayo’s Family Thanks Kenyans for Support Following her Demise

The family of the late gospel singer Betty Bayo has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Kenyans, religious leaders, artists, and officials who supported them during the grieving period following her death and burial.

In a statement posted on Betty’s official Facebook page on Sunday, November 23, 2025, the family thanked everyone who offered prayers, time, resources, and emotional support, saying that collective solidarity helped them navigate the difficult period with strength and grace.

“Your prayers, presence, and support helped us bear this loss with dignity and honour, befitting Betty’s beautiful life,” the family said, adding that they were humbled and forever grateful.

The family specifically acknowledged the Government of Kenya under President William Ruto, expressing special appreciation to former President Uhuru Kenyatta. They also recognised Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, former Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Cabinet Secretaries, MPs, and senior officials for their presence and solidarity.

They further extended thanks to leaders close to Betty, including MP Wamumbi and his wife, Betty Maina, Sabina Chege, Wamuratha, and other parliamentary and government leaders who attended and supported the family.

The church community, led by Bishop Wanderi of CFF, was praised for providing spiritual guidance, comfort, and prayers during the family’s most challenging moments.

“To the church and clergy, your unwavering support and spiritual guidance gave us strength, ensuring Betty’s farewell reflected the dignity and honour she deserved,” the family added.

Artists and musicians who attended in large numbers were also acknowledged for their unity and respect, with the family highlighting Shiru wa GP’s coordination in celebrating Betty’s ministry and legacy.

Committees that assisted with arrangements, including the local team, Bluespring, and the US chapter, were thanked for their tireless efforts in ensuring a seamless and dignified farewell. Special appreciation was also extended to Harrison Geita and Mary Geita of Delights Funeral Services for their professionalism and compassionate support.

The family concluded by thanking the wider public, noting that while they could not mention everyone individually, they trusted that God sees every act of kindness, prayer, and support.

“While we cannot name everyone, we are confident that God sees every sacrifice and prayer, and will richly reward your love and support. From the depths of our hearts, THANK YOU,” the statement read.

Betty Bayo, celebrated for her impactful gospel ministry and warm personality, was laid to rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in a ceremony attended by hundreds of mourners from across Kenya.
