The Private Security Regulatory Authority has organized a large-scale registration event for private security officers, bouncers, stewards, and close protection officers nationwide, currently taking place at Uhuru Park.
The purpose of this event is to initiate the Mass Registration of Guard Force Numbers for over 30,000 private security officers, aligning with the ongoing mandatory nationwide security vetting, training, and licensing procedures for all individuals within the private security sector.
Dr. Raymond Omollo, the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration National Government, will preside over the event as the chief guest.
Established under Section 7 of the Private Security Regulation Act No. 13 of 2016, the Private Security Regulatory Authority is a government agency tasked with regulating the Private Security Industry in accordance with the Act and constitutional principles.
Sections 21 and 28 of the Act stipulate that individuals cannot engage in providing private security services unless they have undergone security vetting, registration, and licensing as mandated by the Act.
