Wiper Party Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, asserted that he played a pivotal role in shaping the success of the economic strategy known as ‘Kibakinomics’ during the tenure of the late President Mwai Kibaki.
Kalonzo emphasized his significant contribution to the economic growth as the Vice President during that period, stating, “I was the Principal assistant to President Kibaki when the economy of this country grew substantially at about 7% of GDP.”
In an interview with Spice FM, he criticized President Ruto for imposing what he considers punitive taxes on Kenyans, expressing concern that such measures may lead to the downfall of the Kenya Kwanza government.
Kalonzo further outlined that, if elected president, his first executive order would involve scrapping the housing levy. He argued for a more strategic approach to dealing with national debt, suggesting a need for negotiations rather than burdening the citizens with excessive taxes.
