Tragedy As Family Of Four Perishes In Kiambu House Fire

A devastating incident occurred on Saturday as a fire engulfed the residence of a family in Kabocha village, Kabete, Kiambu County, claiming the lives of four members. The victims, identified as 40-year-old Peris Njoroge and her three children—Susan Njeri (22), Mark Njuguna (16), and Edward Mbugua (10)—were asleep during the incident and tragically succumbed to the fire, their bodies burnt beyond recognition.

According to residents in the area who spoke to a local media, their attempts to extinguish the flames proved unsuccessful, and they expressed concerns about the delayed response of firefighters to the emergency.

The grieving family members are now urging the police to initiate an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire. The bodies of the deceased have been transported to Thogoto morgue for storage, while authorities have commenced the investigative process into this heartbreaking incident.
