Atheists Propose Two-Year Renewable Marriage Contracts

Atheists in Kenya Society has suggested that Kenyans consider adopting renewable marriage contracts with a duration of two years instead of opting for lifelong commitments.

According to the organization, these two-year contracts should outline marital responsibilities, covering areas such as housekeeping, finances, childcare, and displays of affection for each party.

Partners would commit to the contract during the two-year period, allowing them to either renew the agreement, modify its terms, or dissolve the marriage at the end of the term.

The organization believes renewable marriages offer flexibility and reduce the potential for contentious divorces or lingering doubts.
