Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has promised residents of Northern Kenya that his coalition would deepen devolution and promote fair development if elected to government.
Speaking in a video shared on his X account, Kalonzo said the region continues to experience serious development disparities more than ten years after the introduction of devolution.

He noted that many communities still lack adequate access to basic services, including education, healthcare, water and infrastructure.
According to Kalonzo, the persistent challenges are not only the result of limited national focus or funding, but also stem from shortcomings in how resources have been managed and distributed over the years.
“It is regrettable that thirteen years into devolution, large parts of Northern Kenya are still underserved,” he said, adding that the problem lies in the failure of devolution benefits to fully reach ordinary citizens.
He said his coalition plans to correct long-standing inequalities by placing local communities at the centre of development planning and decision-making.
Kalonzo pledged that a government under his leadership would reinforce devolution, channel resources to priority sectors and ensure all counties receive the support needed for growth.

Kalonzo further said his coalition is ready to collaborate with local leaders, residents and development partners to improve education, healthcare, infrastructure and economic empowerment, reaffirming that Northern Kenya remains a key focus of his national agenda.
