The Health CS had earlier attended the thanksgiving ceremony of Medical Services Principal Secretary Ouma Oluga in Rarieda, Siaya County, on Sunday.
The event attracted political leaders, residents, and supporters who gathered to celebrate Oluga’s career in public service and his recent appointment in government. During the ceremony, Oluga expressed appreciation for what he described as a demanding but rewarding journey guided by faith.
“Today my heart is full as we celebrate #PsOlugaThanksgiving. This journey, by God’s grace, has been challenging but deeply fulfilling,” he said, adding that every step had reflected God’s guidance and strength.
The thanksgiving event featured prayers, speeches, and celebrations, with leaders praising Oluga for his contributions to the health sector and his dedication to serving Kenyans.

President William Ruto was among the leaders present at the ceremony.
Duale said the event, held at Okela Primary School in Siaya County, brought together leaders and residents of Rarieda under the leadership of President Ruto.
“I wish Oluga success as we continue working together to implement reforms in the health sector and advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC),” Duale said in a statement.

President Ruto also expressed confidence in Oluga’s ability to lead medical services in the country, describing him as one of Kenya’s best professionals.
“He is among our finest, and I believe we will make significant progress in the health sector because we have a professional leading our medical services,” the president said.
Ruto further described Dr. Oluga as a hardworking, focused, and committed public servant.
