He noted that the government had fulfilled a previous commitment to provide the land, paving the way for the development of a modern headquarters.
Ruto also revealed that discussions involving Parliament and St John Ambulance Kenya had resulted in an agreement for the organisation to surrender its current building near Parliament. In return, Parliament will contribute Sh300 million towards the construction of the new facility.
In addition, the national government will add Sh200 million, bringing the total funding package to Sh500 million.
The President said the combined support will enable St John Ambulance Kenya to develop a modern facility that will strengthen its emergency response capacity and expand its humanitarian services across the country.
He emphasized the importance of supporting institutions involved in emergency medical response and disaster management, noting their critical role in saving lives.

St John Ambulance Kenya continues to provide first aid, ambulance services, and volunteer-based health programmes nationwide, making it a key player in the country’s emergency response system.
