Muranga County detectives are investigating the murder of 34-year-old Kennedy Njoroge, whose body was discovered in a maize plantation in Kabati village.
Njoroge was found with stab wounds to the head, neck, and abdomen. Police also recovered a suspected weapon near the scene.

A note left beside the body claimed the victim had been involved in criminal activities in the area and hinted that others could be at risk.
Authorities said the motive behind the killing remains under investigation. The body has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy and further procedures.

In a separate incident in Kiambu Town, a man escaped unharmed after his Mercedes-Benz caught fire on Monday morning near Kiambu High School.
The driver noticed smoke from the bonnet, stopped the car, and exited safely before seeking help.
The vehicle was completely destroyed, and police later impounded the wreckage for investigation.
