Police have launched investigations into the killing of a 22-year-old college student who was fatally stabbed at dawn on Friday in Kamulu, Nairobi County.
Authorities say the victim had been embroiled in a dispute with a group of friends shortly before the attack. Preliminary reports suggest the argument may have been linked to a woman, though detectives noted that the exact details are still being verified.

No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
Witnesses told officers that the group—comprising both men and women—had earlier been seen quarrelling in the Twin Bird area before the student was stabbed in the chest.
The body has been moved to a mortuary for a postmortem as investigations continue.
In a separate incident in Kawangware, a man identified as Elvis Adogo died after being stabbed during an altercation. According to witnesses, the confrontation erupted after he allegedly refused to give groundnuts to another man.
Police say the disagreement quickly escalated into a fight, during which Adogo was stabbed in the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Officers are currently pursuing the suspect.
Elsewhere in Kehancha, Migori County, detectives are investigating the death of Stephen Simoku Gibore, whose body was discovered in an open field with head injuries. The motive remains unknown, and the body has been taken to a mortuary for examination.

Meanwhile in Watamu, Kilifi County, police have arrested a suspect linked to the death of Rashid Fodo, who had been assaulted on October 16, 2025, and later died of his injuries on November 12. The suspect is expected to be charged with murder.
Police say they are dealing with several homicide cases reported across the country in recent weeks, some of which have been resolved while others remain under active investigation.
