TikTok Launches ‘TikTok for Artists’ in Kenya to Help Musicians Grow and Engage Fans

TikTok has rolled out its TikTok for Artists platform in Kenya, following its international launch earlier this year.

The new feature offers musicians, labels, and their teams access to analytics and tools that track music performance, audience reach, and fan interaction, helping artists better promote their work on the app.

Through real-time dashboards updated daily, users can monitor metrics such as song plays, creator usage, engagement rates, and audience demographics. The platform also provides resources and guides on TikTok’s features to support career growth.

According to TikTok, the service is open to all musicians with verified Artist Accounts, with the option to grant access to managers and record labels.

A key highlight of the rollout is the new ‘Pre-Release’ tool, which lets artists build anticipation for upcoming albums by launching campaigns and enabling fans to pre-save the music on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Toyin Mustapha, TikTok’s Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa, said the initiative is designed to equip creators with transparent, actionable data.

“We’re putting powerful insights directly into the hands of artists so they can deepen fan engagement, make informed decisions, and grow their careers globally,” Mustapha noted.
