Thieves Break Into a Church, Steal Over Sh.3M In Cash Offerings

Authorities in Tanzania are probing a robbery at a church, where burglars broke in and stole more than three million Tanzanian shillings in tithe money.

The incident took place in the Hai District of Kilimanjaro Province, targeting the accountant’s office at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, Parish of Nronga, Hai district.

The church, known locally as Kanisa la Kiinjili la Kilutheri Tanzania (KKKT), Usharika wa Nronga, also reported the loss of a laptop valued at 780,000 Tanzanian shillings, which was taken by the thieves.
