According to the latest Ipsos Kenya Audience Tracker report, Radio47 remains one of the top five radio stations in the country.

It ranks fourth with a 5.8% share of the radio market, while Radio Citizen leads with a 20.8% share. Kameme Radio is second with 7.5%, followed by Radio Jambo at 7.2%, and Ramogi FM in third with 6.7%.

Other notable stations trail behind Radio47, with Radio Maisha in sixth place at 4.9%, Milele FM at 4.7%, and Inooro FM at 4.0%.

In the Media Council of Kenya’s 2023/2024 State of the Media Report, Radio47 was also ranked in the top five with a 5.0% market share. Radio Citizen led this report as well, with 22% of the audience, followed by Radio Jambo at 14%, Radio Maisha at 11%, and Milele FM at 6%.
David Omwoyo, CEO of the Media Council, commented on Radio47’s rapid rise, noting that its success, reaching 5% market share, shows they are doing something right.

The station’s growth can be attributed in part to significant investments in attracting top talent, with well-known personalities from established media houses joining its ranks over the past two years.
Some of its prominent presenters include BBG Mkamburi Chigogo, Fred Arocho, Elizabeth Mutuku, Dr. Ofweneke, All Hassan Kaulen, Billy Miya, Emmanuel Mwashumbe, Mbaruk Mwalimu, Eva Mwawili, Dj Immo, and Manucho the Young Baller.
