Two individuals were killed in a crash along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway when a lorry lost control and collided with a boulder at Green Park.
According to Anderson Muriithi Mbae, the police chief for Athi River North, the driver’s attempt to negotiate a sharp turn led to the accident.
Two passengers died instantly, while the driver sustained severe head injuries and is receiving treatment at Shalom Community Hospital in Athi River.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the hospital’s morgue for identification, and the damaged lorry has been taken to Mavoko Police Station.
