KMTC, a leading institution in middle-level health training, is ranked ahead of several universities in the Webometrics global rankings. With 92 campuses nationwide, the college focuses on producing skilled health professionals through transformative training, research, and consultancy.
Recently, KMTC CEO Kelly Oluoch emphasized the importance of expanding the college’s research and consultancy capacity. Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day consultancy training workshop, he acknowledged that while KMTC has excelled in training, research and consultancy efforts are still in early stages.

Oluoch encouraged staff to explore emerging areas such as digital medical education, lifelong learning, and health innovation incubation, aiming to position KMTC as a continental hub for health innovation and consultancy. Past consultancy projects, including maternal and newborn health initiatives, serve as a foundation for scaling up institutional consultancy work.
The workshop is part of KMTC’s strategic effort to strengthen its research and consultancy pillar, furthering its mission to deliver transformative impact in healthcare education and systems development.
