KPLC Announces Scheduled Power Outages in Four Counties on Friday

Kenya Power has announced that there will be scheduled power outages in four counties on Friday as part of routine system maintenance.

The planned power interruptions will take place between 8am and 5pm.

The utility company provides advance public notices before performing maintenance to help customers prepare and minimize inconvenience.

The areas affected by the scheduled power cuts are located in Uasin Gishu (North Rift), Kakamega (Western), and Meru and Embu (Mt. Kenya region).

Uasin Gishu
In Moiben Centre, power will be cut off from 10am to 4pm, affecting Chebororwa, Kabomoi, and surrounding areas.

Kakamega County
The power outage will last from 9am to 5pm, impacting Manyulia, Butere Market, Shiatsala, Butere Girls, Namasoli, Masaba, Manyala, and nearby customers.

Meru County
Kenya Power will interrupt electricity supply from 8am to 5pm in areas including Antubochiu Market, Kaundunyiri village, Thunguma, Amwamba School, Kiiji Market, Achenge, Kiurune village, Red Canteen, Amungeti Mission, Kimongoro Market, Kanuni Market, Athimba, Antuambui, Ntheroni Market, Kirindine, Athi Market, Igembe Tea Factory, Amunju, Tiira Market, Ugoti Market, Marega Market, Rigii, Ncheme, Mbor-oga, and neighboring areas.

Embu County
Power will be out from 8am to 5pm in areas such as Kamburu, Matendeni, Gitaru, Kindaruma KenGen Camps, Kiambere Complex, Kiambere KenGen Water Intake and Treatment, Ngiiri Market, Kavuui, Katothya, Karura, Gatete, Mutindwa, Gwakarigu, Cieria, and nearby customers.
