Kenya Power has completed the scheduled upgrade of its prepaid token vending system, allowing prepaid customers to purchase electricity tokens.
The upgrade, finished on Monday at 10 pm, enables customers to buy tokens through various payment channels such as M-PESA Paybill number 888880, Airtel Money, and banking channels.
The company expressed gratitude to its customers for their patience during the service interruption and affirmed its commitment to enhancing its services.
Prior to the upgrade, Kenya Power had notified the public of the unavailability of the prepaid token vending service on June 2 and 3, 2024.
Customers were advised to purchase sufficient tokens in advance to avoid inconvenience.
During the upgrade period, all vending points, including Kenya Power offices, M-PESA Paybill number 888880, Airtel Money, and banking channels, were inaccessible for token purchases.
