Kisumu County Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has undertaken a reshuffle of Chief Officers in his administration to enhance service delivery.
The reorganization affects several key departments, with some officers being reassigned to new roles and others either promoted or retained in their current positions.
According to the Governor, this realignment is intended to improve governance and achieve better results for Kisumu’s residents.
Among the changes, Paul Waweru, formerly the Chief Officer for Finance, is now assigned to manage the Lake Front Development Corporation, a crucial role for the county’s economic and environmental progress.
Benter Omollo, who previously managed Public Service, County Administration, and Participatory Development, has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Kisumu Revenue Boards.
Fredrick Osewe has been moved from his previous role in Education, Technical, Innovation, and Social Services to lead the Energy Department, while Timothy Nyakwamba will now oversee Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Marketing, a department essential for the county’s tourism and economic development.
Daniel Okia has been appointed to head the Agriculture Department, a move aimed at enhancing Kisumu’s agricultural productivity and addressing food security issues.
Dr. Lusi Ojwang remains in charge of Medical Services, Public Health, and Sanitation to ensure stability in the healthcare sector.
