Siaya residents have challenged the new look cabinet to ensure that it restores hope among Kenyans by ensuring that they discharge their duties responsibly and in accordance with the law.
The new leadership has been urged to prove their worth and bring the country together.
Susan Adhiambo Gumbo, wife to the former assistant minister Nicholas Gumbo, urged the cabinet to avoid playing politics with leadership and to avoid discrimination along political lines.
She also warned against chest thumping, which fuelled recent Gen Z demonstrations.
David Onyango Audi, a former South Gem Ward Member of the County Assembly, called on Governor James Orengo to up his leadership and ensure the area residents felt the presence of his administration.
Audi lamented low project absorption at the ward level and called for urgent measures to reverse this trend.
