Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers apprehended Dolal Mohamed Mohamud, the Managing Director of Garissa Water and Sewage Company, on Thursday afternoon.
Mohamud stands accused of falsifying his academic credentials, specifically his KCSE certificate, to gain admission to a degree program at the University of Nairobi.
According to EACC, Mohamud purportedly altered his original KCSE Certificate, which showed a Grade D (Plain), to falsely reflect a Grade C+ (Plus), thus facilitating his university enrollment.
Following EACC’s recommendation, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) endorsed the decision to prosecute Mohamud.
Mohamud is currently in police custody awaiting his court appearance scheduled for Friday.
