Judges Lydia Achode, John Mativo, and Mwaniki Gachoka prolonged the conservatory order, permitting the government to persist in collecting the housing tax for this month, responding to the government’s appeal challenging the High Court’s initial order.
According to court documents, the consolidated applications related to the High Court’s judgment on November 28, 2023, will be addressed collectively, with a ruling expected on January 26, 2024. The court emphasized that the prevailing conditions as of today will persist until the ruling is delivered, extending the original expiration date of the conservatory order from January 10th.
